The Llanos module adds a safari to any Venezuela programme. Three nights on a working ranch, with a private naturalist guide and the hato’s own llaneros, give clients the wildlife density of the Pantanal with almost no other visitors.

To the Llanos
Flight to Barinas or San Fernando de Apure (or the road from Mérida), transfer to the hato, first afternoon safari.
Hato
Dawn boat safari, midday rest, afternoon 4×4 excursion and night caiman spotting.
Hato
Horseback ride with the ranch’s llaneros, anaconda search, joropo in the evening.
Return
Morning excursion and transfer to the airport for the flight to Caracas.
How it fits
Usually inserted between Caracas and Canaima, or paired with the Andes module — the road descent from Mérida to the plains is one of the great drives in the country.
