This one is for clients who want to earn the view. Instead of seeing Angel Falls from a plane window they travel to it the Pemón way, by curiara, sleep a night in hammocks at its base and wake up to it. The rest of the programme is deliberately restorative: our lodge in Canaima and four slow days in Los Roques.

By curiara up the Carrao and into the Churún canyon — five to six hours on the river through tepuy country. Camp at Isla Ratón, dinner cooked by the crew, hammocks facing the falls.
Angel Falls → Canaima
Early walk through the forest to the Laime lookout at the base of the falls. Return downstream to the lodge by early afternoon; second night in Canaima.

Good fitness is required for the river days and the hour-long walk to the lookout; the hammock night is simple but well organised.
