Caracas

The gateway — a mountain capital of six million under the green wall of El Ávila.

Caracas is Venezuela's political, financial and cultural centre: nearly six million people in a narrow valley that runs 25 kilometres along the foot of El Ávila National Park. Glass towers overlook colonial streets, and the city moves between the two without apology.

Why it works for your clients

Every Venezuela programme passes through Caracas, and we would rather it did so with intention. Half a day covers the historic centre — Plaza Bolívar, the Capitolio with its Batalla de Carabobo fresco, the cathedral, the Libertador's birthplace. Add the cable car up El Ávila, or El Hatillo's pastel colonial square, and the connection night becomes a chapter rather than a chore. It also gives internal flights room to breathe, which in Venezuela is not a luxury.

How we operate it

Our staff meet clients at Maiquetía with fast-track assistance, our executive vehicles handle every transfer, and our bilingual guide-drivers know which neighbourhoods to show and when. Security is managed quietly and continuously; this is our home city and we run it as such. Note that museums and the cable car do not operate on Mondays.
